It was in the middle of a disinformation campaign by the World Health Organisation when President Trump boldly decided to close air traffic from China in spite of harsh criticism by his rivals and hostile U.S. media. Unfortunately he did not know that China had sent travelers from Wuhan around the world who had spread the virus globally although the government closed all domestic transportation to and from the city. Iran and Italy were especially hit hard as China’s major trading partners. EU was hit hard due to lack of borders between member countries. As major air transportation hubs eastern U.S. and Canada were also hit very hard by the plague. Facing an unprecedented health crisis President Trump did what any other president could have done and perhaps a lot less in spite of the fact that his political rivals saw this as their last chance to remove Trump from the White House at the expense of lives and a ruined U.S. economy.

It would’ve been unthinkable to feature a Canadian socialist on the same page as a U.S. non-establishment Republican representing America’s far-right, but true leadership should recognize no left or right. True leadership is the act of balancing public interest with the necessities of effectively countering a health crisis, not political expediency. As head of the BC New Democratic Party John Horgan has been in the delicate balancing act of running the provincial government with support from the Green Party. He had the chance to test his true mettle with an unprecedented public health crisis, Covid-19. With professional help from Bonnie Henry, the Public Health Officer, he resisted Ottawa’s calls to keep British Columbians under house arrest as they did in Central Canada. He trusted the people to do the right things to keep themselves and others safe. Most important of all, he passed an executive order rescinding all emergency bylaws by municipalities, such as the fake socialist lunatics at the City of Vancouver who would have sent the police after ordinary people for various infractions. While most retail businesses were closed down under the provincial emergency laws, British Columbians enjoyed a trust from a local government that managed to keep social restrictions as reasonable and as civilized as possible. The results speak for themselves. BC has the lowest number of per capita cases or deaths in Canada.
BC’s Guardian Angel: Dr. Bonnie Henry
One of the real Canadian heroes that emerged out of this crisis is undoubtedly Dr. Bonnie Henry, BC’s Chief Medical Officer. Also known as The Virus Hunter, Dr. Henry has had extensive experience fighting plagues in remote corners of the earth. With her soothing and compassionate voice and professional comportment she’s been the voice of reason in this land of confusion and ignorance. Along with Premier Horgan Dr. Henry stood her ground against doctors and fake experts who wanted radical and unnecessary restrictions of freedom and punitive measures on the people of British Columbia. She’s so popular among the people, there are Bonnie Henry fan clubs. BC loves this woman.

While President Trump had the foresight to close U.S. borders to China when there were no virus-related deaths, Canada virtually invited the virus from infected countries by keeping borders wide open to infected countries. This probably explains why Quebec and Ontario, and perhaps even the U.S., were hit very hard by the plague. The federal government lied about screening international passengers at the airports. The health minister and chief medical officer declared that the government was listening to “the experts”. What experts are they referring to? According to a report by the National Post Canada is still allowing passengers from Europe and Asia with no screening or follow-up at all (see the article below) while travelers within Canada are routinely harassed or denied entry at provincial borders.

The age of international air travel has quickly become the symbol of a bygone era, like steam locomotion or cash.
Most of us haven’t ventured further than the local grocery store in two months, but it turns out more than a quarter of a million passengers have disembarked from international flights at Canadian airports in that time.
Our governments have been telling us to stay home because Canada is in lockdown. Travel has been restricted between provinces — Ottawa residents haven’t been able to visit their cottages in Quebec until this week; people in Pointe-a-la-Croix, Que. still can’t cross the Restigouche River to see family in Campbelltown, N.B.
Yet travelling by air is still a thing. While the volume of travellers is down more than 90 per cent on last year in the seven weeks to May 19, there were still 269,501 arrivals at the four Canadian airports open to international travel (Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Vancouver).
Canada’s Ethnic Diversity Is A Farce
Liberals have put a lot of stock in Canada’s ethnic diversity and their alleged role in creating it. It has, in fact, become one of the Liberal election mantras designed to put to shame other parties that question Canada’s immigration policy, such as the Conservatives and Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party of Canada. In actuality it is a farce, since no real diversity exists with respect to immigrants and temporary residents admitted under Canada’s immigration policy.
It is a fact that Canada’s immigration and visa policy overwhelmingly favor a couple of ethnic groups such as the Chinese and East Indians and a few other ethnic groups, mostly Asian. Most other nationalities have little or no representation in the country’s ethnic mosaic. Where the heck is the ethnic diversity they are claiming?
This applies to not only foreigners admitted as immigrants but to tourists and students half of whom are rejected in visa applications. In 2017 about 175,000 Chinese students were enrolled in Canadian post-secondary schools, followed by East Indian students. Most other nationalities are hardly represented, if at all. It’s a generally accepted knowledge that most of these students apply for immigration after graduation. About 45-percent of student visa applications were rejected in 2017 because visa officers suspected that they would want to stay in Canada after graduation and rejected applications on this basis. This is a contradiction in law that gives visa officers the authority to reject certain nationalities arbitrarily. It also gives corrupt government employees an opportunity for bribery and corrupt practices. According to a trade officer that worked for Canada’s diplomatic mission in an East European country for 3 decades corruption among visa officers is generally hushed up by the government and handled very discreetly if ever discovered.
It is apparent that Canada’s immigration and visa policy are conducted entirely by a bureaucracy that has disproportionate and arbitrary authority for decisions over which the Minister has little or no oversight under an archaic law full of contradictions. It’s a matter of record that some visa officers have even overridden court judgments after the Federal Court found their decisions incorrect or unreasonable. Letters of complaint to the Minister are generally replied to the sender with legal gibberish and no reply address. Canadian ambassadors are also advised to reject letters of complaint over immigration and visa decisions.
Erkan E. is a frequent visitor to Canada for business and the education of his children. As an engineer and academic he has impeccable credentials. He suggests that if Canada wants genuine ethnic diversity there should be an equal immigration quota for every nationality. This is the voice of reason that will eliminate the present farce.

It was inevitable that monetizing pollution would be used by dishonest corporations as a money-making opportunity especially since governments are the worst offenders at the top of the list. Big fortunes have been made in the name of saving the environment by large business interests. In this article we will only deal with the petty exploiters such as supermarkets, drugstores and other retail businesses charging you for bags you have to use to carry what you buy from them. Isn’t that simply revolting? It has been a universally accepted practice that stores have to provide packing for what you bought from them since the packing must be part of their cost of doing business. Thanks to the environmentalist dogma these petty opportunists now pretend to save the environment by charging you extra for packing their stuff so you can take it out of the store. One of these days when they ask me if I need a bag I’ll put the jug of milk on my head with the expected result. It’s only 5 to 25 cents for the time being, but it represents millions of extra revenues for chain stores thanks to taking the public for suckers. When Canada Chronicle asked employees why they are charging for bags, the answer was “To save the environment.”
