Why Carbon Tax Is A Scam
There’s A Concept In Economics Called Elasticity of Demand
Are Our Politicians Ignorant Or Do They Pretend Not To Know It ?
The Answer Is, They Have Found A Mother Lode Of Taxation Source: Environmental Gullibility
Put simply, this concept taught in the first class of Economics says that people can do without luxury goods but they cannot do without what they need for survival, with variables in between. For example, they can do without a fancy antique French lamp if necessary. A tax on fancy antique French lamps can limit the demand for these lamps, restricting the demand to only those with extra money to spend on luxury items. However, they cannot do without heating their homes, driving to work, using public transit, or buying gasoline for absolutely essential requirements.

In other words, monetisation and further taxation of energy consumption will not do anything to limit essential consumption of energy. This will only serve to make life more difficult for the middle class and low income earners, who are the majority of the population in this country. Energy consumption is already heavily taxed in Canada, Canadians paying the highest price among producing countries. Carbon tax will only increase the cost of basic necessities, and it will do absolutely nothing to decrease air pollution or save the planet. This is nothing but an insidious way for politicians to show environmental militants that they are doing something to save the planet.
Carbon Tax is opposed by governments of energy-producing provinces such as Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba as well as the industrial powerhouse of Ontario as a threat to their economies. Ontario Tory leader Dog Ford is one of the most vociferous opponents, earning the title of Carbon Tax Warrior. After winning the provincial election he immediately abolished the carbon tax instituted by his predecessor, only to face a carbon tax imposed by the federal government.
If Carbon Tax were an effective means to reduce carbon emissions, the heavy taxes on energy would have done the job and made this tax redundant.
Climate Change, A Politician’s Dream Cause For Taxing The Masses
Where Was The Government 20 Years Ago?
Answer: Busy Gorging On Delicious Energy Taxes
40 years ago there were predictions of climate change, not based on fiction or speculation but the fact that the earth has been moving on its axis. The movement is measurable every year if you’re involved with the compass or identifying true north or south for one reason or another. But, first there was the speculation that CFC’s were to blame for global warming. These are the chemicals used in aerosol cans that were picked as the culprit for opening holes in the ozone layer, causing the sun to shine through and warm the atmosphere. This story continued from the eighties for a few decades until scientists (or those who paid for them) picked a new culprit: air pollution by fossil fuels. Air pollution is bad, for sure, it’s bad for our health and quality of life. Only governments are to blame for not doing enough to stop it, but there’s no evidence that it is the cause of climate change. Climate is changing because the earth, as known to honest scientists, has been moving on its axis. That warms the regions that were formerly colder, and cools parts of the earth that were warmer before. There’s nothing you can do about it short of changing the earth’s axis. If you taxed everyone to death or stopped selling gasoline, natural gas (natural gas, why the heck is this clean fuel included in the list?) and other fossil fuels, period it wouldn’t make an iota of difference.
Climate Is Changing Due To Earth’s Movement On Its Axis
Sustainable sources of energy have been under our noses for a long long time. There’s no reason except big business interests why Canada could not have walked in the footsteps of Brasil who achieved energy self-sufficiency extracting fuel from plants. Or natural gas, that is in abundant supply in this country. Or make electric cars more viable. But, targeting fossil fuels as the culprit is nothing but the new story sold to the public. Once the dust has cleared over fossil fuels, cars and other stories and business and political establishments have gotten the maximum mileage, there is no doubt that scientists will start talking about the earth’s movements. The problem is, that problem won’t be solved by taxing the hell out of people and inducing them do irrational things, like replacing cars and trucks with bicycles.

To summarize the issue in one short sentence, Carbon Tax is a money grab designed to exploit the well-intentioned and gullible environmentalists.

How To Save The Planet Buying Air Pollution
Carbon Pricing & Carbon Offset: The Other Scam
There is little doubt that environmentalism is becoming the religion of the 21st century. Like every religion it has spawned dogma and militant fundamentalists ready to “kill for the cause”, not literally of course. There are many people in our cities who hate motorists and expect all ages to take up cycling as the only mode of transport. Some have switched to buses, not aware that buses pollute substantially more. Like all religions environmentalism preys on the most gullible who believe everything done in its name. Like carbon pricing and offsets, or profiting from air pollution the dirty capitalist way, selling pollution as a commodity in a commodity market. How will buying carbon offsets stop pollution and save the planet? It won’t. However, it will produce businesses and individuals that profit from pollution. Once you introduce the profit motive, you know what will happen.
Who are the profiteers of this scam ?
Canada Is A Drop In The Bucket Of Global Pollution
Canada is already one of the cleanest countries in the world with respect to air pollution. If we all abandoned our cars and factories and producing plastics etc. and adopt a 17th century lifestyle tomorrow as a community of 35 million with net zero emissions, we wouldn’t make a dent in the global pollution problem. There is our neighbor United States with 380 million people. There is China and India with 6 and 2 billion, and other heavily populated Asian countries. Not to mention South America and Africa where people are trying to attain the western standard of living through industrialization. So, let’s stop providing fodder to politicians so they can obscure the real issues facing the people of Canada, like food and shelter and making ends meet.

Do You Want To Carry These Groceries On Your Head, Or Buy A Bag ?
How Dishonest Businesses Exploit Environmentalism
Beware of Greedy Green Capitalists !
It was inevitable that monetizing pollution would be used by dishonest corporations as a money-making opportunity especially since governments are the worst offenders at the top of the list. Big fortunes have been made in the name of saving the environment by large business interests. In this article we will only deal with the petty exploiters such as supermarkets, drugstores and other retail businesses charging you for bags you have to use to carry what you buy from them. Isn’t that simply revolting? It has been a universally accepted practice that stores have to provide packing for what you bought from them since the packing must be part of their cost of doing business. Thanks to the environmentalist dogma these petty opportunists now pretend to save the environment by charging you extra for packing their stuff so you can take it out of the store. One of these days when they ask me if I need a bag I’ll put the jug of milk on my head with the expected result. It’s only 5 to 25 cents for the time being, but it represents millions of extra revenues for chain stores thanks to taking the public for suckers. When Canada Chronicle asked employees why they are charging for bags, the answer was “To save the environment.”
Do You Need A Bag? A Stupid Question Often Asked At The Cash Register Nowadays
Our editor Candidus Maximus compiled these possible replies, so you’ll be prepared:
- No I want to carry the jug of milk and eggs on my head. I love it when eggs and milk crash.
- No, the beef can go in my pocket, lamb chops under my shirt and pork chops in my hand. Do you have a bell I can hang around my neck so they know I’m not a donkey?
- I couldn’t carry all the clothes and shoes I bought for my wife in my hands. It will look weird. Will the police stop me if I wear them over my clothes? I’ll do Anything to save the planet!
- (Blushing) I don’t answer sexual questions.
